Build Steps

Building the Base
Step 1: Prepare Materials
  • Choose a sturdy material for the board's base, such as MDF or plywood, based on your preference.
  • Gather tools like a saw, drill, screws, glue, and a Sharpie for marking.
  • Use a projector or grid to assist in planning the layout.
Step 2: Determine Dimensions
  • Decide on the size of your board. Adjust dimensions as needed to fit your space and preferences.
  • Ensure the game layout fits your chosen dimensions and maintains proportional scaling.
Step 3: Assemble the Frame
  • Cut materials for the frame and supports. Ensure the frame is sturdy enough to hold the board and additional features.
  • Use screws and glue for assembly. Reinforce corners with brackets if needed.
  • Optional: Fill gaps with spray foam or plaster, then paint for a finished look.
Step 4: Add Ailment Holes
  • Trace ailment holes onto the board using a projector, printed grid, or hand sketch.
  • Cut the holes using a hand saw, drill, or jigsaw.
  • Protect the edges by installing corner bead, which can also function as a circuit element.
The Circuit
Step 5: Set Up the Circuit
  • Follow the circuit diagram and start with a test circuit to familiarize yourself with the relay board.
  • Wire each ailment hole to the negative (DC-) terminal or ground connection.
  • Wire everything into the relay board as shown in the diagram. Test incrementally to ensure functionality.
Step 6: Make the Tongs
  • Create tongs or a grabbing tool and wire them for integration into the input and shocking load side of the relay board.
  • Ensure the tool is properly insulated and functional.
Step 7: Test and Adjust
  • Test the circuit component by component to ensure it works as intended.
  • Adjust the TENS unit intensity to maintain safety and the desired effect.
Finishing Touches
Step 8: Apply Vinyl
  • Order and apply a custom vinyl design for a polished look. Use a squeegee to remove air bubbles.
  • Alternatively, paint the surface with a hand-drawn design.
Step 9: Add Game Pieces
  • Create game elements using EVA foam or modeling magic. Incorporate real-world objects for added fun.
Step 10: Install Mobility Features
  • Add a kickstand or mount for upright play. Use sawhorses or brackets for stability.
Step 11: Final Inspection
  • Inspect for loose connections, unfinished edges, or areas needing adjustment.
  • Test gameplay thoroughly to ensure all features work seamlessly.
